To be a docent is to be a teacher, an art lover, a student learning the mind of the artist, a historian, an ambassador to the public, a volunteer helping you local art center and artists, but most importantly, to be a docent is to be yourself.

Sharing a few hours of your day with others to talk about art can be a rewarding social experience, giving you a sense of enrichment and satisfaction.

Radio Spots

Sonoma County Book Festival Sept 2009 Radio Spot on Wine Country Radio (KRUSH, BOB etc)

The Sonoma County Book Festival celebrates all your favorite local writers, poets, playwrights, and literary people with book signings, readings, staged performances, panel discussions, and a children’s activities tent with book-inspired activities at downtown Santa Rosa’s Old Courthouse Square on Saturday, September 19th  from 10 to 4.  Come out and meet popular authors, support independent booksellers and publishers…and it’s all free. Thus far I have written some successful Arts Grants to date, as well as several well received proposals within the University System.

Successful Funding Proposals Include:

  • Funding from Target Community Arts Grant for the LAG, SCBF
  • Funding from Sonoma County Arts Council, for LAG, SCBF
  • Grant for Participation in Fringe Festival (SCAC), OCA Harmony Project
  • Funded Proposals from Occidental Center for the Arts, Harmony Project
  • Multiple MITH/Theater Proposals University of Maryland for experimental projects and research with the UMAGI initiative and ArtGrid
  • The Goldhabber Travel Grant
  • the Winnamere Fellowship
  • Center for Teaching Excellence Pedagogical Technology Grant with GCAST
