Earth Rehearsal
A and Jimmy were emailing satellite images to add to Google Earth of spiral jetty for Utah section for "Compass Points".
N is feeling more confident with her lines.
M suggests exiting after we each say our final compass point. N is skeptical, but agrees to see how it looks. N's standard response is getting to be, "well let’s try it both ways and see what works." Beth sinks off stage/screen. We laugh. We divvy up the compass points. N takes East- though she can’t think of anything positive to say about it. We all joked last time about how the piece is made by people from the mid-west and west, Utah, N.Dek ota, California, Washington state…nothing positive to say about the East. N throws in the line about snipers which gets a laugh in performance.

A is nervous about timing/directions on Google Earth animation which he was supposed to have finished already. He says: “There’s an entire planet to go with.” N tired of reviewing the process verbally and uses the board to chart out how she thought each section would go (from previous conversations with/ A and P)---traveling slowly across the floor from point to point and zooming in from space on the screen for each compass point. I draw on A’s version for timing…N indicates "well you have up to this much time (when each person speaks initially through the next person speaking) to get from space to their location…do you want me to read through it with you so we can time it?" A: "No, I think I can do it now with L at home."
