(There is low attendance today due to the holiday, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.) We are now rehearsing in a new space (just after getting Dance Theatre operational). N&P finish setting up the technology in the rehearsal studio. There is no Internet connection, so there will be no downloading files, checking email or blog, or use of Access Grid. Earth rehearsals will now be in the 1800 classrooms). P sets up the room so that the back wall is the back scrim and the front wall left/right are not screens, but represent left/right screens. The angles are off quite a bit but I guess it works ok. (This week we got the most new work with fire and water done, as N created a rough of the water scene and waterbody fill video.)

B set up a patch to fill (composite) the dancer's shape with video using his small camera.

Access Grid: N participates in AG meeting Tuesday from P's office. DPG others fail to write blurbs on what they will contribute to Interplay despite emails and verbal acknowledgement to N. N gathers data on the specs for the Dell PIG, N's Office PIG, N's Laptop and camera etc for Interplay's call for participants.

Equipment: N puts together tech list and sent it in with P's specs. (Dell CPU 2.4 Ghz, 512 MB ram, Intell Pentium Processor, Win XP, Sound Max Integrated Digital Audi, with/ 1 monitor, VGA splitter one monitor out –this later becomes a problem for the performance presentation of video; N’s laptop HP Celeron R, CPU 2.4 Ghz, 2.39 GHz, 448MB ram).

Air: Test of Air bubbles with B/M/P/N. We are testing the floating dots for their reaction of the bubbles to sound (how quickly the move) as well as the size P mentions to N M’s projection surface costume influenced by Alwin Nicholas 1960-70’s who used dancers' bodies as projection surfaces.

Media: A is working on new Fireburger video clip. K won't come until 1:30, we try to have the media ready for her. Violence snippets are tied to tap-tiles Jitter patch (B).
1:30 K/E (waiting for B) H20 First rehearsal . Dancer excited after she sees media (video).
Mk’s footage needs to get to A or P for editing into Fire. (Mk out of communication until Tues/Wed, N and others are delegated to try to make contact with him. Mk has already recorded fire---bummer I don’t get to yell "burn it down"--but he needs get us his files and record the water section readings.)
A is worried about who is doing what with the video editing for Fire. At first it sounds like he will only edit it together, not create new footage, then the opposite; since no one is there the whole time it is hard for N to determine who will do what and in relation to what K wants. N and P talk about A doing the beginning burger, then P and or A doing the violence N/Mk’s footage. P has already minimized my files for tap-tiles—saving N time, A& P will do the end and N will create words/numbers before the big boom.
To do: P will get more blast footage. Do we need any more violence footage N? P willing to edit together stage right screen sequence. N buys online Quicktime Pro for Theatre Dell so that we can use the full screen option installs with P in office. (MPEG movies: N will export video without sound dummy, we need the sound separately for Mk's sound score fore Water.)
