(Monday)
Walk through with tech.,
N reminds all of call times. M & B late.
K is redoing the Vicki The Torch voice track so that it is lower and slower.

K notes: “P is saying ‘s***’ a lot.” Another responds “That’s not good.”

Earth run- through. M late, and online performers have limited time so we try to start without her. She arrives. We only ran the scene once then needed to end the scene so the dancers could work on Fire. N promises J & B that we will run it 4 times tomorrow.

Rehearsing Earth

The Fire setup is taking a long time, and P has a problem with his Mac/Max. The tap-tiles are not working.
N asks to run the Earth with its media (for the first time) not for online people but for N.

N is doing a quicktime movie and setting up the other window transitions on the Dell. P says he will do lighting after Earth rehearsal tomorrow.

P and B work on tap-tiles, figuring out where the dancers are, creating smaller triggering windows, measuring trip, skipping sound.
N dislikes the use of the tap-tiles, it seems too vague. The threshold is cycling too infrequently (not long enough play back, dancers need to leave pressure on and to press longer to play). K says she likes it as is. (The dancers never got it, it looked very random. What could have been a very potent relationship between media and performer practically became a throw away—not worth the time and effort.)

Dancers and Video

(Scheduling is still difficult.)

Water run-through:
N says to E that she looks like an angry Euro dancer in her white, strappy unitard. We all laugh.

E sets off tap-tile from Fire with her rolling in the start of Water. Can it be turned off?

N doesn't’t like the ghosting B added to the video mixing Jitter patch for water. B says that “otherwise it looks like public access TV” to which N replies that's "better than an acid trip."

We are all doing lyrics, and recording the poem. N asks Mk to make 'pollution of water is a pollution of the soul' stanza sound clearer with less reverb/layering.

N to add P’s name for music (recorder) to Air & DPG voice talent to the program.

Air Sounds: N breathes in (inhales in front of mic backstage), P on recorder, P and M decide to play together, N stands in for M.

Tuesday dark (no rehearsal)
N worked all day doing emailing and fixing the program.

Ran the Earth script several times–feels pretty solid.
